This policy explains how Share Market Training (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through sharemarkettraining.in, our enquiry form and our WhatsApp course enquiries. It is written to reflect the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the general principles of notice, consent, purpose limitation and data minimisation.
Who is responsible for your data
Share Market Training is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question, correction or deletion request, write to info@sharemarkettraining.in. We do not have a walk-in office, so email is the appropriate channel for formal requests.
What we collect
- Enquiry details: the name, mobile number, city, course interest, preferred learning mode and optional message you submit through the form.
- WhatsApp messages: the content of messages you choose to send us, including your phone number and any details you include.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, recorded by our web server and, where enabled, by analytics software.
- Course records: attendance and completion information if you enrol in a programme.
We do not ask for identity documents, bank details, card numbers, demat credentials or passwords through this website. Never send those through the enquiry form or WhatsApp. If someone claiming to represent us asks for them, treat it as fraud and contact us.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and send the syllabus, fee and batch details you asked for.
- To administer a course you enrol in, including attendance and completion records.
- To improve the website and understand which pages are useful, using aggregated analytics where enabled.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations that apply to course fees.
- To prevent spam and abuse of the enquiry form.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not add enquiry contacts to a marketing list without a separate, clear opt-in, and we do not send promotional messages to numbers that contacted us only for a course question.
Consent and lawful processing
When you submit the enquiry form, you consent to us using the details to respond to that enquiry. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, although we may need to keep limited records where the law requires it. Some processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, for example administering a course you have paid for, and some is necessary for our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to operate the site and communicate with you. These may include web hosting, email delivery, analytics and WhatsApp (operated by Meta) when you choose to contact us through a WhatsApp link. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We share only what is necessary for the service they provide.
We may disclose data if required by law, a court order or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our legal rights.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses essential cookies required for security and basic functionality, such as form protection. If analytics is enabled, it may set cookies to measure page views and traffic sources in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies or sell audience data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential functionality may be affected.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Course and payment records are kept for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. If you ask us to delete your enquiry data and there is no legal reason to retain it, we will do so within a reasonable period.
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls and reputable hosting, and we limit who can see enquiry data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
Your rights
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a summary.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Ask us to erase data that is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent to future processing.
- Raise a grievance about how your data has been handled.
Send requests to info@sharemarkettraining.in with enough information for us to identify your record. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational under the 2023 Act.
Children
The courses are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The revised version will be published on this page with a new date. Material changes will be described in the update note where appropriate.
